Interview with our BEAUTIFUL bride, Charlyne, about her phenomenal wedding:
HOW DID YOU MEET? Ryan and I met at a local Bar… (ROMANTIC!!) Hey caught my eye on the dance floor and I told my girlfriends that he was going to BE MINE! He happened to be with a mutual friend but we didn‘t get the chance to talk (he was too shy). However the first time we actually talked was after a Storm Game I ran into him (he had a couple of drinks) and a couple days later we went on a date!
WHAT ATTRACTED YOU THE MOST TO YOUR HUSBAND? His Dance MOVES!
A DATE YOU WENT ON THAT YOU WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER: Our first non-official date April 12th! It was nothing out of the ordinary but I can remember him asking me out on an “interview” and refusing to call it a date. Haha!
HOW DID HE PROPOSE? On the beach. He had help from his sister to burry the ring in a heart box in the sand with rose pedals on top. He set it up to watch the sunset on the beach before a dinner date and as we were walking we passed by the rose pedals. He went down to touch them and I pulled him away thinking it was for somebody else until he pulled out the box with the ring and got down on one knee. Meanwhile his sister was standing on the pier taking pictures of the whole thing.
TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR VENUE: This was probably the hardest thing!! It took me about a year and 150 venues later! I first looked everywhere in Tampa, then Orlando, then Sarasota, then Tampa where I thought I found the venue (it wasn’t perfect but I thought it would do) I went back to finalized paperwork and hand in my deposit when I second guessed it and decided to wait! I went back home googled some more and came across Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club and thought it was PERFECT! We went a couple days later and it was even better in person! So happy I went with my gut feeling!
WHAT WAS YOUR BIGGEST PLANNING CHALLENGE? Everything was a challenge! However I had the best wedding planner, Kyla Coram, from A Wedding to Remember to help me with EVERYTHING!! I’m a very busy person so it was very helpful to have her through the planning process.
FAVORITE DESIGN ELEMENT FROM YOUR BIG DAY: It’s way to hard to pick any ONE element!! Everything was PERFECT!
DID YOU HAVE ANY DIY DETAILS? The table numbers my husband and I made! They turned out stunning!
DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS: In one word… FABULOUS!! The wedding was on the first day of spring so I wanted everything to be bright and colorful!! And that they were! Everything was bright orange, yellow, and green with a splash of hot pink in my bouquet! There were mostly lily’s, hydrangea, Gerber daises, and bright colored roses.
WHAT WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT OF YOUR WEDDING DAY? Walking down the stair case and seeing my soon to be husband! We decided to do our own vows and it was the best decision because it felt very personable and romantic. Also my dad’s speech! It blew me away! I think it brought tears to every single person in the room! I will always be his little girl!
DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING CAKE: It was 4 tiers, ivory, had edible pearls and rhinestones, and was very chic and classic. Gorgeous!!
DESCRIBE YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR PHOTOGRAPHERS: FFUUUNN!! Sara and Jason are awesome to work with! They are very outgoing so they made us feel very relaxed as if we’ve known them forever! I stumbled on their link posted DJ Shanes Entertainment website and fell in love with the work immediately! After “stalking” their webpage for a couple of months I e-mailed them to reserve my wedding date because I HAD to have them!! They were actually my first vendor I booked!
WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND AS A COUPLE? We just built a house so our next challenge as a couple is to DECORATE J
