Last week, local wedding experts gathered at Madeleine’s Daughter to address different aspects of the wedding planning process with Elizabeth, the owner of Madeleine’s Daughter kicking off the evening with a presentation. We were so honored to have New Hampshire wedding photographer, Melissa Koren join us to capture the evening with Mark Davidson Photographer catching all of the presentations on video…so stay tuned to the blog as we show each presentation from our experts!

Oh and by the way, Bonta Restaurant & Bar located in Hampton, New Hampshire, SPOILED us with yummy items throughout the night. Below on the left is their Tuna Crudo appetizer (which I am obsessed with) which is a yellow fin tuna on a red pepper crisp. More to come from Bonta!

Our first presenter was the host herself, Elizabeth of Madeleine’s Daughter. Elizabeth and Cheryl were very helpful with their display of gowns in order to show the ideal silhouettes one should consider for their body type. The ladies also explained to everyone the different fabric options — the difference between them and what price tag you can consider for each of the fabric types.

So, if you’ve been in downtown Portsmouth, you probably are aware of the cutest shop ever! Samantha and Whitney from Gus & Ruby Letterpress joined the evening with their fabulous portfolio of paper products. Samantha and Whitney discussed about the different pieces couples might need in an invitation suite and creative ways to put together the perfect stationery package.

Next we had the fabulous and always stylish Joanne McDonough of Joya beauty as she touched on the differences between airbrushing and traditional makeup, including a demonstration with one of our brides! As always, she’s always helpful when in comes to providing valuable information as to how to schedule your beauty preparations for your wedding day.

It’s sweet tooth time! If you are looking for some of the tastiest treats in New England, Jessica of Nothing Bakes Like a Parrott (yes, two t’s) is certainly the person for you! She’s one of the most creative designer when it comes to candy or dessert buffets and is truly passionate about what she does (oh and she also makes wedding cakes, so let’s Jessica joined us with several examples as to how to create a creative design for your wedding and how to wow your guests!

And finally, wedding planner, Diana, of Diana Ma Weddings & Events joined us to answer any general questions our couples had. Unfortunately, our time got a little crunched so we didn’t get to spend much time talking with her but certainly plan to have her again. And while the photos below are not from our evening, you must check out Diana’s work, especially this recent wedding – super cute!

Our couples certainly did not go home empty-handed! Everyone left with a fabulous swag bag filled with goodies from our presenters and 2 lucky brides went home with a gift card for a complimentary name changing service through Miss Now Mrs! I truly suggest that you look into them – simply practical and talk about a time saver! If you missed me ranting about them, just check out a post from the past…and yes, we will have another giveaway soon!

So be sure to check back to our blog as we show you actual footage from the evening on each of the presenters! And thank you to everyone who joined us and made this event possible.

And one final mention,
