Happy Valentine’s day!!! Ok, we cannot help ourselves when it comes to holiday goodies especially when they’re perfect for wedding details, as simple as they are from heart cake toppers to yummy red velvet sweetheart cakes. So here’s to all of the heart day junkies out there!

(Valentine goodies and ideas found on Etsy and Better Homes and Gardens)
Oh so by the way, I just learned about the perfect way to spend Valentine’s Day — and unfortunately, I just learned about it so maybe next year. If you’re not afraid to spend time together outdoors in the snow in the evening, this is perfect for you! The Round Barn Farm in Waitsfield, Vermont does a nighttime snowshoe dinner tour through the woods to a rustic cabin complete with a fieldstone fireplace for a romantic candlelit dinner. How cozy is this to bundle up with your sweetie for some good eats? Love this idea — cough, cough honey? I guess this year, it will be me and my zumba class!

Not only do we want to welcome Vermont videographer, Tweed River Video, to the family but we just love this Super 8 wedding film — it gives the wedding the perfect vintage, retro feel! You may have already seen it via Prepare to Wed’s twitter and fan page but we just had to post it.

So what is a Super 8 film? Well actually it’s Super 8 mm film but it’s simply referred to as Super 8. It’s a motion picture film format released in the 60′s by Eastman Kodak as an improvement of the older regular 8mm home movie format. It was embraced by home movie makers, industrial users and independent film artists. With Super 8, the perforations are only on one side though smaller than those on older 8mm film, which allowed the exposed area to be made larger.

Rodeo & Co Photography featured this beautiful wedding filled with a few of my faves: cute kids, ladybug details, and oversized balloons. Oversized balloons, or just balloons in general, are such a fun little prop to play with during wedding or engagement photo sessions. I think the more toys and things I had to play with during a photo op, the more comfortable I would feel. They make you loosen up and have a little fun. Rodeo & Co did a fabulous job, as always, capturing this adorable wedding. Visit Rodeo & Co Photography for more on my Kate Parker Wedding.
