A Must Watch | Simply Cinematic

So can you believe that the holidays are right around the corner?  It got a little more real to me as I walked around a tree farm for hours finding the right tree.  Unfortunately my husband couldn’t make it to the notorious tree-tagging custom my family has each year, but I certainly surprised him when I said I found the perfect 15-foot tree!  And you know what?  Finding a tree is somewhat like Say Yes to the Dress.  I was going around endlessly saying I want something that bellows out at the bottom but not too much.  It has to be full but easy to move.  And then, I turned the corner and saw the perfect dress–I mean tree.  After putting my mark on it and trying out a few more…I finally said yes to my tree!

Ok, enough about my tree but yesterday certainly put me in full mood for the holidays so I decided to do a little searchy-search for things winter on Prepare to Wed and came across this amazing video by Central Florida wedding videographer, Simply Cinematic.  When I started watching it, I thought I was watching Timbaland perform “It’s Too Late to Apologize.”  Better yet, it was it was a song dedicated to the woman who taught me how to love.  I guess you just have to watch (and listen) to the film — it gave me cold chills! {LS}

    Lakeside Wedding | Meg Simone Wedding Films

    This past weekend, I was on my Facebook account and noticed a preview into Brooks’ wedding a few weekends ago – and obsessed with weddings, I couldn’t help but watch.  When I clicked on the link, I noticed that the film was created by Meg Simone Wedding Films (with event coordination by Signature Events) so I knew it was going to be good…ok, it was FABULOUS and I want to see more!

    Meg had quite an event to capture, from guests wearing mustaches to the bridesmaids wearing vibrant dresses.  And even if hurricane Earl decided to stay that evening, it wouldn’t even come close to wreaking havoc on this group of family and friends. {liz}

    Meg: I loved Brooks and Liz from the minute I met them, period. Having been together for over seven years, and with deep rooted memories with family and friends on Lake Winnipesaukee, I knew this was going to be one awesome lakeside celebration. I was fascinated with Liz’s desire to use Brook’s mother’s 30 year old wedding dress — as that’s rarely seen and done these days. The setting was unique (a rented home in Wolfeboro Bay) and the décor and personal touches were also “firsts” for many – when is the last time you were encouraged to wear a fake mustache at a wedding? It made for a night full of laughs and stories. I’m not sure the party ever stopped! My smile muscles still hurt!

      Wedding Film of the Week | Gala Wedding Films

      Massachusetts wedding videographer, Gala Wedding Films featured this wedding video on my Kate Parker Wedding and we just loved it.  Filled with tears and laughter and kissing and, of course, love – Gala Wedding Films captured the couples special day with skill.  I SO appreciate how videographers can cut everything together – honestly, I am not creative and tech savvy enough to even know where to start when it comes to that stuff.  The music and the intros and the shots they get are just amazing!
