Festivities – the Art of Celebrating, is located in Fairfield County, Connecticut and serves all of Fairfield and Westchester Counties and Manhattan. We are a brother - sister team who have owned Festivities for 26 years. We work closely with our clients as executive chef and event planner to give our clients the utmost in personal service. In addition to our award winning catering and event planning services, we are the exclusive caterer at The Meadowlands, a historic estate located in Darien and the preferred caterer at several other locations.
Executive Chef William Kaliff, is an award-winning chef who has been selected by “Bon Appetit” magazine as one of the leading chefs in the nation. The culinary team at Festivities has been awarded “Best Caterer” and “Best Partner for a Special Occasion” for our venue, The Meadowlands in Darien, Connecticut by the “Best of the Gold Coast.” For the past four years, brides on TheKnot.com have voted Festivities on to the “Best of Weddings” list.
In addition to award winning catering, we offer our brides full-service event planning. As co-owner and a bridal consultant with 25 years of experience, my team and I bring our creative energies to each event. Logistically, we work with all the event vendors to ensure a flawlessly executed event.

Hospitality is what makes events memorable – we provide detailed planning, innovative design and impeccable service while remaining vigilant in managing our client’s spending plan. Our art of hospitality ensures that not only are the bride and groom thrilled with their wedding day, but that their guests also experience the joy in celebrating the couple’s new life together.
What is the favorite part of your work?
The favorite part of my work is meeting so many brides! When a bride shares her ideas with me, I have the opportunity to really envision what she wants – I have an “a-ha” moment! It is the process, from our initial meeting to her wedding day, that I enjoy so much. Taking a spark of imagination and creating a wonderful experience for not only our bridal couple but everyone at the celebration is awesome! The best compliment I can receive is when a bride walks into her celebration and says, “this is exactly right.”
Which nonprofit organization does Festivities support?
Festivities has been involved with Share our Strength (SOS) for most of our business life. The mission of Share our Strength, to feed America’s hungry children, is a natural fit with our passion. We have been involved with many benefit evenings and this year we launched our Thanksgiving holiday “Great American Bake Sale” in conjunction with SOS, where proceeds from our Thanksgiving desserts were donated to SOS.
