As everyone knows the new way of life is the idea to "go green." This could be as simple as recycling, using to-go coffee mugs instead of paper cups, or not wasting things around you. Although many people have gone to the more extreme level of going green, all the way to their wedding!
At Clay Hill Farm, a certified wildlife habitat and a state environmental leader, they want to challenge couples to consider the role of sustainability as they celebrate the beginning of their lives together. To do this, the wedding venue held an all inclusive green wedding giveaway contest. Couples from around the area submitted a video of how being ecoconsious and green has been apart of their lives before and after they met their fiance.
The winner of this years contest is Debi Pian and Sean Patch, and will be wed on July 11 2010. As part of their win, they be given a beautiful wedding with the one and only Scott Langlois as their DJ at Clay Hill Farm, and also will go on a nine day Caribbean honeymoon package. Some other top sponsers for the event are, Travel Experts of York, Sperry Tents, Blooms Flower Shoppe, Minka Design, Ladera Resort, Zoetry Agua Resort, Curtain Bluff Resort, Bintliff's Ogunquit, Acorn Organic Salon, Madeleine's Event Central, Fosters Daily Democrat, Bartram's Beeswax Candles, Revelations Gift Shop, Meadowmere Resort and Hippie Chick Bakery.
